Yvette Nepper, MA, LPCC

I received my training in ecological counseling from the University of Cincinnati. This theoretical framework acknowledges that we cannot be separated from our contexts. When practicing therapy as a form of ecology, we work toward fulfilling the needs of the self (or ego), while also holding a deeper truth, that we are interconnected to one another and this living planet.

My counseling practice draws primarily on the work of Carl Rogers, one of the founders of humanistic psychology, and Carl Jung, a Swiss psychiatrist who understood the value of bringing unconscious aspects of self into awareness.

I have over 10 years of experience working with clients who are not easily reduced to a label, a disorder, or a diagnosis. But rather people, experiencing the world at this moment in our shared history, with all of its complexity, trauma, and beauty. And through the power of the counseling relationship, we work together to create a life of greater simplicity and connection.
